By producing only velvet fabric for more than 50
years, Luks Kadife has gained worldwide experience in this field and has become
a brand that provides service to leading companies in its sector.
So, how are jacquard, or patterned, velvet
fabrics, which we encounter in our homes and in every area where luxury and
quality are used, produced? We wanted to share with you the weaving and dyeing
stages, starting from design.
As we mentioned before, Luks Kadife serves its
customers with its own pattern design team, dye laboratory and fully integrated
dye shop.
The adventure of jacquard velvet fabric begins
when our pattern design department, together with our R D unit, designs the
useful and trendy patterns they dream of, using up-to-date computer programs,
and sends them to the weaving looms. This process continues as a result of
long-term research, staying up to date by constantly following trends and
fashion, and team unity. Meanwhile, colors determined by our R D and
Marketing teams in accordance with current color trends are run in dyehouse
laboratories, sometimes as single colors and sometimes as combinations.
The completed products are woven according to
their designs; it is delivered to the dyehouse as a mixture of polyester,
viscose, polyester-viscose and linen. Products whose dyeing pre-preparation
processes have been completed in our dyehouse are delivered to jet boilers or
to Kusters boiler, which can perform both fixing, dyeing and finishing
processes at the same time, for dyeing, depending on their content. Water
repellent, flame retardant and oil repellent chemical applications are applied
with great care to Cotton, Viscose or Linen fabrics at this stage, and to Polyester
fabrics after dyeing.
In our dyeing facility, corrective and fabric
enriching processes such as washing, combing or brushing are also applied
according to the product processes, and the fabrics are taken to waiting
sections for the drying process.
After the drying process, the products taken to
the quality control benches are reviewed according to Luks Kadife quality
standards and shipped as a result of the evaluation. Products that are not
suitable for shipment can be reprocessed in our dyehouse, corrective actions
can be applied and then shipped.
This is the process of our jacquard (patterned)
velvet fabrics that we see in your homes and almost everywhere.
